Teriyaki là loại sốt đặc trưng của ẩm thực Nhật Bản, có vị mặn ngọt thơm, thường được dùng trong các món thịt, cá chiên nướng, vừa giúp tạo màu, vừa giúp tạo hương. Cánh gà nướng mà được phủ thêm một lớp sốt này ở trên sẽ vừa đẹp lại thơm nức mũi, khiến ai nhìn cũng chỉ muốn ăn ngay. Đặc biệt, món sốt này không hề khó làm, phù hợp cho các bữa ăn gia đình.
Cánh gà rửa sạch, để khô. Tẩm ướp gà bằng cách cho dầu ăn, hạt tiêu đến khi ngấm thì đem nướng. Nướng cánh gà ở nhiệt độ khoảng 200ºC. Có thể đặt gà lên vỉ nướng để lớp mỡ chảy xuống dưới, cánh gà sẽ đỡ béo. Lật cánh gà liên tục trong khoảng 1 tiếng, đến khi 2 mặt cánh đều vàng ươm thì gắp ra bát.
Đặt chảo nóng lên bếp lửa, cho hỗn hợp xì dầu, nước ép dứa, đường nâu, tỏi, gừng và nước vào khuấy đều đến khi đường tan hoàn toàn. Trộn bột ngô và nước với tỉ lệ thích hợp để bột sánh lại rồi đổ vào chảo hỗn hợp xì dầu, đun khoảng 1 phút thì giảm lửa nhỏ, đun tiếp đến khi hỗn hợp sánh lại như siro mới thôi.
Đổ nước sốt lên cánh gà sao cho sốt ngấm vào từng miếng da. Món cánh gà sốt teriyaki kiểu Nhật Bản đã hoàn thành. Có thể rắc thêm một ít hành lá thái nhỏ và mè để cánh gà trông đẹp mắt hơn. Ăn cánh gà khi còn nóng để đảm bảo hương vị!
