Cà chua rửa sạch, dùng dao cắt thành hình chữ X phía dưới. Đun sôi nước, cho cà chua vào luộc sơ khoảng 30 giây thì vớt ra, lột bỏ vỏ, cắt đôi, bỏ hạt rồi cắt cà chua thành hạt lựu. Húng quế băm nhỏ. Cho cà chua vào tô lớn ướp tỏi băm, húng quế, muối, 1 muỗng canh dầu olive, 1 muỗng canh giấm, tiêu, trộn đều hỗn hợp.

Bánh mì cắt thành từng miếng có kích thước bằng nhau, phết dầu olive lên 2 mặt bánh mì, sau đó cho vào lò nướng ở 230 độ C trong 5 phút để 2 mặt vàng đều. Lấy bánh mì ra, phết sốt cà chua lên trên và thưởng thức thôi nè.
